Who inspires you?

Since 2004, Canadian Immigrant has been telling the stories of immigrants, from all walks of life and all cultures. They have written about their challenges, their dreams and their successes. The Top 25 CanadianImmigrants awards, launched last year, goes beyond recognizing simple success, however; it is about celebrating those immigrants who not only have succeeded in Canada, but have made a difference to their new country along the way.

Last year’s winners all shared a desire to make their mark in their own unique way, while leaving Canada a better country than the one they found. Winners included famed immigrants such as Governor General Michaëlle Jean, icons like Sgt. Baltej Singh Dhillon, the RCMP officer who fought for the right to wear his turban on duty, and silent heroes such as volunteer Rossbina Nathoo.

This year, BCSF founder Dr. Horace C. Alexis is one of the finalists! BCSF is one of his crowing acheivements, and contributions to Canadian society.
