BCSF PRIVACY POLICY
The BCSF has adopted and adheres to stringent security standards in its aim to protect personal information.
To this end, any personal information provided to the BCSF by applicants for its annual bursaries/scholarships and intended for use during the evaluation and selection process, is treated and kept in the strictest confidence.
Bursaries/Schoarships are awarded by the BCSF and distributed through the Ottawa Community Foundation.
The BCSF will submit to the Ottawa Community Foundation only the following information about the successful applicants in a given year:
- Their names, addresses, telephone numbers and the names of the post-secondary institutions which they plan to attend
Monitoring Usage and Use of Personal Information
The BCSF assures applicants for Bursaries/ Scholarships that:
- It will not sell ,trade or rent their personal information to any other party
- It will monitor the evaluation and selection process to ensure that all of its members respect its privacy policies regarding the personal information which they( applicants) submit in any given year
- It reserves the right to use names and/or photos or any information appearing on the bursary/scholarship application form for the BCSF Website and for promotional purposes.
