How Scholarship/Bursary Recipients Are Chosen

• Each application is evaluated by an Evaluation Committee comprising of five persons, of whom three are selected from the community and two from the Black Canadian Scholarship Fund Committee.
• This Evaluation Committee recommends the candidates for an award.
• The candidates are interviewed by an Interview Committee comprising of three members of the BSCF Committee.
• The Interview Committee then selects the candidates and recommends them for a scholarship/bursary. It also names the candidate who qualifies for the Founders Award.
• The BCSF Committee or Executive Board will make the final decision to award the scholarships/bursaries for the given year to the recommended candidates.
