OTTAWA -- Consistently an Honours student at Hillcrest High School, Busole also demonstrated exemplary leadership in a variety of school-related activities. She motivated other students in her role as volunteer peer helper, tutor and teacher’s assistant for special needs children. She also developed her sense of community service by joining the army cadets and promoting fund-raising for Canadian War veterans. Busole entered Laurentian University in Sudbury to undertake studies in Biochemistry.
UPDATE: May 5, 2009. Busole will commence her final year of university undergrad in the Fall.
OTTAWA -- During her student career at Earl of March Secondary school, Mimi not only maintained her status as an Honours student, but found time to volunteer as an instructor in Mathematics and English at the Learning Centre. In addition, she showed a keen interest in her community by participating in the Ontario Student Against Impaired Driving program, Hopeful Youth Pursuing Extraordinary Deeds (H.Y.P.E.D) and the Ontario March of the Dimes. Mimi has opted for a program in the Sciences at the University of Waterloo.
