Who can apply?
The BCSF Bursaries are open to Black Canadian students graduating from high school in the Ottawa area with an interim or final average of at least 75% in six Grade 12 courses.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need and community involvement.
What is the deadline for application?
The deadline for applications is May 31st every year.
Interested students may obtain an application form from any high school in the Ottawa area or via download from our website, fill it in, and send to the BCSF.
The bursary awards are directed in two equal installments. The first in the Fall term and the second in the Winter term to the University of choice, of the recipient, through the Ottawa Community Foundation.
When will the winners be notified?
If an applicant has not received notification by July 31 of any given year, it is an indication that the applicant has not been successful.
